The Susan Boyle of Hawaii

I walked into our administrative assistant's office yesterday to find her completely stunned watching this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY). I watched a few seconds with her, and it gave me goose bumps. Saw that another blog I follow had posted about the video today, and finally sat down to watch it in its entirety. If you haven't seen Susan Boyle yet, you need to watch this. Not only does it serve as a great reminder not to judge others, but it gave me the shivers thinking about my upcoming wedding.
I wasn't always the most self-confident girl growing up. Sure, I was involved in many varied activities that occupied my time, but I can't say I was completely pleased and in love with who I was. I was the Susan Boyle we all judged before she began to sing. Meeting Greg has been one of the best things in my life. He loves me for who I am, not how I look. He knows me, understands my true being, and brings out the best in me. He gives me the opportunity to sing before judging me. And that's true not only for me, but for others as well. This guy will not form an opinion of others before meeting and talking with them. He's easy going, and has shown me how to be this way as well. He's brought out my gifts, helped me to polish them, and shared his, too. How can I ask for anything better?
I can't believe that in three months he'll be my husband. Mine. How did I get so lucky?
(And I used to think I was going to spent the rest of my life in a covenant...)

Eggstra Special Eggs

This was my first Easter with Greg's family... weird since it's been almost 7 years. I had no idea what fun I as in for.

Things started off typical - enjoying brunch together, and then talks of dying Easter eggs. Sounded fun!

Noah was first to start dying his eggs. Very typical fashion - dunk, soak, done! Then the trouble began...

A ton of though was being put into everyone's eggs. Not only was dye available for decorating purposes, but crayons, candles (for wax), paint brushes, Q-tips, glitter, and toothpicks were brought out. So unlike any egg-dying experience I've ever had. Of course, being a craft lover, I jumped at the chance to explore my creative side.

A Rocks-My-Socks Kind of Day

Today was one of those wonderful days where things just sooo rock your socks...

This was one of them. I've been in a MAJOR pink mood lately (as my fiance can attest to), and this week I've been craving something striped and pink for work. Pink is just making me happy, and why shouldn't that extend into my work hours as well?! Grabbed this shirt at Old Navy, rushed off to work, and put it on. Didn't know 'till it was actually on me that it has princess puffy sleeves, as well. That sooo rocks my socks.

This did it for me, too. If you were at Ala Moana today, I was the girl with the goofy grin stretched ear to ear who was acting like a tourist and busting out her camera for a sign. Not just any sign, mind you... It's official. Hawaii is getting its first Victoria's Secret. My face still hurts from smiling so big! Rocks my socks!

It's my happy place for the month...

Not much going on around here... Just hangin' out. ;) It's spring break, so poor Greg is working hard while I'm pulling half-days, and Katsu's just being a mooch as usual. I've been taking Katsu on car rides when I go out to grab lunch or run a quick errand. This "little" dude loves his car rides! (Picture from a few weekends ago.)

Like I said, just a ho-hum week. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I'd take a slow, spring day over a fast-paced one any time. Just not much to report. Sure wish Greg could stay home with us, though!
